Economic and Social Development in Bac Ninh not only meets the demand for a sufficient standard of living but also aspires to higher values. The Cat Tuong Smart City project aims to address the needs of “settling down and building a career” for the people, especially the new workforce. With a strategic location at the intersection of major economic hubs, the project not only captures development trends but also emphasizes values of living, the impact of architecture on the environment, culture, and society.

The project is developed based on five key principles: shared spaces, green spaces, quality living spaces, smart experiences, and modern architecture. Among these, the focus on culture and tradition, fostering connections among families, friends, and neighbors, is central. Green shared spaces (Green Squares) are distributed throughout the master plan, connecting most housing types to encourage social interaction, strengthen community bonds, and reduce social issues.

The new planning design addresses initial shortcomings such as enclosed spaces, monotonous functionality, and a lack of expansive green areas. Main and secondary roads are clearly organized to enhance traffic flexibility, while residential areas are interspersed to foster interaction and close relationships among residents. The urban frontage has been meticulously designed, from the harmonious proportions of buildings to the diverse green spaces between plots, enhancing aesthetics and promoting comfort.

The service zone has been relocated to the southern part of the site, acting as the main gateway, enhancing the aesthetic appeal and utility of the entire area. Expanded green spaces and a variety of shading designs create captivating perspectives, elevating the value of living spaces and fostering a closer connection with nature.
